The following samples are using graph paper and a black pen to draw simple units of pattern made of straight lines. The pattern has had lines subtracted to make the pattern more sparse and lighter

5a Pattern development has been used to create a darker going to lighter tone using the pattern from 2a above.
I love the clean, clear simplicity of these pieces! I know they're "only" samples, but they can stand alone...perhaps on black mat board...
